Producer and Region
This coffee is produced by Maria de Fátima Silva, one of the few women leading in coffee farming, at Bota Fora, located in Carmo de Minas. Situated at 1,100 to 1,300 meters above sea level, the farm benefits from ideal conditions for cultivating Yellow Bourbon. With over 100 years of family ownership and four generations of experience, Bota Fora combines deep-rooted knowledge with modern agricultural practices to consistently produce high-quality coffee.
Maria oversees a dedicated team, including five permanent workers who have been part of the farm’s story for over 20 years.
Variety and Processing
This Yellow Bourbon coffee is processed using the pulped natural method. After selective harvesting, the cherries are de-pulped and dried with the mucilage intact, enhancing the coffee’s sweetness and complexity. Drying takes place on patios, where the coffees are regularly turned to ensure uniform moisture levels. This process preserves the coffees integrity, contributing to a consistent and well-balanced flavor profile in the final cup.
Flavour
This coffee is soft and balanced, with a creamy mouthfeel. Its profile highlights chocolate sweetness, hazelnut richness, and hints of purple fruits like plum. Working very well as an espresso, americano's or milk-based drinks.
