The key to a perfect shot of espresso is consistency. The quickest way to consistency is to eliminate (or control) as many variables in your prep process as possible. The dosing rings are specifically designed to help eliminate the overflow of coffee grinds while dosing into your portafilter. Eliminating overflow helps you reduce mess, waste, and in turn, will result in much more consistent dosing weights.

The 54mm espresso dosing rings are designed to work specifically with the Sage 54mm portafilters.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When using machines such as the Sage Barista Express, the portafilter holder (used to hold the portafilter when dosing/grinding) cannot be used while the funnel is installed.
