As you might know, Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. Coffee from Ethiopia is one of a kind and offers a very recognizable and distinct flavour profile. Most Ethiopian coffees are a mixture of many varieties. That means the terroir is more responsible for those distinct and recognizable flavours than the varieties. Cool, right?!
This coffee comes from the famous Yirgacheffe regions. By many people Yirgacheffe is seen as the birthplace of coffee. Over 300 small coffee farmers grow their cherries on high altitudes above 1900m. The high altitude causes slow cherry maturation and the cherries suffer less damage from insects. This will give you a sweeter cup with more depth in flavour. After hand picking the best cherries, the farmers deliver their cherries to the Aricha washing station. Now the coffee is carefully graded, washed and dried.
With our roast we highlight all those floral, citrussy, and peachy goodness! Don’t wait any longer and taste this true representation of the Ethiopian terroir.
