The Sage Barista Express Impress is Sage's latest innovation to take the biggest frustration out of an espresso machine. Namely calibrating, dosing, tamping and the mess of coffee powder on the machine and the worktop.
The new Puck system of the Barista Express Impress automatically ensures the correct dosage and is guaranteed to press the coffee straight with a constant tamp force of 10 kilos. Thanks to a dosing funnel, the ground coffee comes straight into the portafilter and the coffee is pressed in the Puck system. This means you no longer have to worry about coffee powder falling on the machine and the worktop. Less mess and less hassle. Specialty Coffee just got easier at home, and you can enjoy a perfect espresso within a minute!
The Sage Barista Express Impress follows the 4-step formula of professional espresso machines. An exact dose of freshly ground coffee, precise temperature control, 9 bars of water pressure and steam to create a perfect microfoam that you can use for latte art.
The coffee dosage is automatically calculated and calibrated based on the last grind. This means the machine is always ready for the next espresso. The built-in coffee grinder has now 25 grind settings for perfect resistance and good extraction.
With a constant pressure of 10 kilos, the Puck system always presses the dosed ground coffee in the portafilter straight and optimally. It even rounds out the process with the 7-degree barista twist to get a nicely smooth coffee puck.
If your dose is too low, you can easily dose extra by pressing the automatic dosing button again. If the machine has dosed too much coffee, you can remove it with the Razor Tool. Then tamp again, and you will see that the coffee quantity is now perfect. The Express Impress's intelligent dosing system automatically corrects the amount for the next time you make another espresso.
The complex taste of a full-bodied coffee is prepared with an ideal dose of 18 to 20 grams of freshly ground beans. The precise filter baskets from Sage and the professional stainless-steel portafilter ensure that the taste remains optimal and does not give off a metallic taste
To avoid channeling and prepare a delicious espresso that flows like warm liquid honey, the Sage Barista Express Impress starts with a low pressure pre-infusion, followed by an extraction process under a pressure of 9 bar thanks to our Italian 15 bar pump and the pressure valve.
The Thermocoil heating system in combination with the PID temperature control ensures a water temperature of exactly 93 ºC. This is the ideal temperature to extract the right taste from the coffee and prepare a balanced espresso.
Thanks to the powerful steam pressure of 130 ºC, you can quickly make perfect microfoam. With this microfoam, you can take your latte art skills to the next level.
